We have been continuing to work with NHS England to successfully secure an update to the CPRD-linked data following changes in the way NHS England, the CPRD's Trusted Third Party for linkage, process and link data for a range of organisations (see: https://digital.nhs.uk/data-and-information/data-insights-and-statistics/improving-our-data-processing-services).
We are now anticipating a redelivery of these data from NHS England in February 2024, encompassing new patients at existing practices, as well as patients from newly contributing practices, with temporal coverage for Hospital Episodes Statistics and ONS Deaths data up to the end of March 2023. CPRD will then begin processing the data to ensure it is of research quality. We will provide updates on the timeline for linked data release via the linked data web page and Research Bulletin.
