CPRD has been selected as one of seven data partners to join a pilot UK Real-World Evidence Network. The aim of the pilot is to demonstrate that the Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership (OMOP) Common Data Model (CDM) can be used in UK-wide federated research studies. As part of the pilot, the network will conduct two studies. The first will look into the use of antibiotics in primary care and hospitals; the second study will investigate the use of novel and expensive medicines in different NHS settings.
